Couples Counseling

Finding a relationship is possible. The true challenge is the maintenance and growth of the relationship. You may have been with your partner a few months or many years; however you are faced with a challenge(s). You are holding on to what you once had with your partner but don’t know how to elevate the connection.

Couples counseling is customized to one-on-one consistent support for you and your partner. We will get to the heart of what's fueling destructive patterns and attack it straight on by providing you a nurturing safe space to address hurts and develop the closeness that you desire.

Together we will collaborate with you and your partner to interrupt old relational patterns that no longer serve you and increase deep understanding of each other by firstly understanding one another’s individual story and how it plays a role in the experiences you are having with each other. Let’s get to work!

Please note: We only service clients residing in the States of California and Texas at this time.

Some Common Approaches

  • EFT focuses on relationships that may be plagued by trust issues, insecurity, or abandonment. It can help people learn how to interact with their partners in more loving, responsive, and emotionally connected ways, which can result in a more secure attachment.

  • IBCT focuses on emotional acceptance as the basis for concrete change. It assumes that relationship problems result not just from certain actions and inactions of partners but also in their emotional reactivity to those behaviors. This approach works to build empathy and understanding between partners. text goes here

  • The Gottman Method focuses on building positive emotions in a relationship, to replace negative emotions. This approach builds the couple’s skills in maintaining fondness and admiration for each other, turning toward each other to get needs met, and managing conflict.

  • Narrative therapy helps couples to gain awareness of the stories that they've held on to because of past experiences and helps them gain control to be able to rewrite their own stories for their future.
