Welcome! I am Lovinda and I am glad you are considering working with me! Let me share a little about myself.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in both the States of California and Texas with 8+ years of experience working with adults, teenagers, children, and couples facing depression, anxiety, and life changes.

I have an undergraduate degree in Human Development from California State University Eastbay and earned my graduate degree in Counseling Psychology at The Wright Institute.

Since completing my Master’s degree, I have had the pleasure of working with many people to therapeutically address how our present day experiences intersect with our childhoods.

Therapy with me is compassionate, direct, creative, and effective. We will target your core through modalities such as cognitive, narrative, strength based, solution focused, and family systems therapy to support you with challenges that you are facing and goals that you want to reach. 1.I enjoy cooking! I cook a fresh meal pretty much every evening to unwind and reconnect with myself, family, and friends.

2. You can count on me to hit the dance floor as soon as the beat drops! Dancing is freedom.

3. I love high heels, definitely a fashionista!

4. I collect books. Two of my favorite books are The Giver by Lois Lowry and The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan.

5. One of my favorite experiences is laughing until my ribs hurt-best feeling ever!

6. I delight in getting to know others and can often be a people person.

7. My favorite instrument is the kora built from the calabash fruit.

8. As much as #6 is true, I enjoy my own company and will use that time to write.
